10/6: Culture Fest

14th Annual CultureFest – Come experience the rich cultural diversity of Chattanooga through arts, food, dance, and live music. The Parade of Nations is a must see!

Thanks to Chattanooga State’s International Community Outreach, Arts Build, Hamilton County and the City of Chattanooga, the Market will boast live performances from local cultural groups including a must see Parade of Nations!

Enjoy a multicultural fashion show, dance contest and an exhibition of culturally-themed art.  Local, ethnic organizations will be on hand displaying cultural artwork, offering food samples & cooking demos along with other global customs. We’ll have plenty of activities for the entire family – Enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of our cultural diversity right here in Chattanooga!

Activities for all ages: origami, yoga, dance instruction, henna hand painting, face painting, chopstick lessons, tea tasting, passport game, calligraphy, bocce and international board games.

11:30     Flashmob of Peruvian Cultural Ambassadors

11:45     Peruvian Association of Chattanooga Performing “”La Valicha”

12:00     Belly Dance performance by: Zanzibar Studio

12:30     Belly Dance performance by: “Mirabai Bellydance”

1:00       Parade of Nations (Start in Finley Stadium entrance to the inside stage and it will be led by Scottish Bagpipe: Mr. R. H. (Scott) Maclellan, President of Maclellan Foundation, Mrs. Monique Prado Berke, First Lady of Chattanooga, Dr. James Catanzaro, President of ChattState,  Dr. Maricela Rodriguez, ChattState Foundation Board Member  and Gladys Pineda-Loher, Director of International Community Outreach; followed by representation of 52 countries)
