The Run of Honor is an 8k certified course which begins and ends at the Chattanooga Market and encircles the Chattanooga National Cemetery by way of historic Main Street. Timed by the Chattanooga Track Club, the inaugural race includes multiple award categories and a commemorative shirt for participants. Don’t miss the Market day festivities afterward!
The Run of Honor is organized by the Chattanooga Market, in partnership with the Rock City Lodge #22 Fraternal Order of Police (FOP), and proceeds from the race will benefit two deserving causes:
Tim Chapin Scholarship Fund – Sergeant Chapin, a former member of the Rock City Lodge FOP, was known for his integrity, honesty and service to the community prior to losing his life in the line of duty. The Fund was set up to provide financial assistance for an achieving student of an active parent/guardian of Rock City Lodge #22. Members could not think of a better way to honor him than to offer a scholarship in his name.
Fort Campbell Fisher House – Home to many families who are in need of a place to live while their loved one is receiving medical care from a VA or military medical center. Completely handicap accessible and equipped with all the comforts of home, the Fisher House has been in operation since June of 2006 and serves around 100 families per year.
