Want to work in a fun, flexible and diverse environment? If you enjoy working with all types of people, getting your hands “dirty” and variability in your responsibilities you may be just the person we’re looking for. We are looking for a energetic person to join our Market Crew who will support the Market Manager, in all aspects of set-up to clean-up of our weekly events.

We’re looking for a hard working individual who is willing to pitch in, think fast and work productively, with a sense of urgency. As a member of Market Crew, you will interface with thousands of people at each event: vendors, customers and many “local celebrities” including corporate sponsors, chefs and even politicians. A friendly, respectful personality is a must. Because we host over 10,000 visitors a week combined at our events, we take our public reputation very seriously.

The Market Crew job is physical in nature. You’ll need to be physically fit, agile and strong enough to lift and carry packages or materials up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and operate light machinery (blowers, power washers, etc) You’ll often be required to work extended hours in an active, outdoor environment. You need to be comfortable emptying trash receptacles, getting dirty – basically, whatever it takes to help ensure our Market events run smoothly and safely for our patrons.

If all of this sounds like hard work, it is – our work ethic is “Work Hard, Play Hard”. You’ll be involved in some of Chattanooga’s liveliest events including Chattanooga Oktoberfest. You’ll be working for a group of people who are energetic, fun and have a desire to invest time in you. With advance planning, you’ll have the ability to arrange a flexible work schedule.

*Nitty-Gritty* – We are looking for a candidate with strong references and excellent character. A high school degree is required, though University/college experience is a definite plus. The position will begin immediately as part-time/hourly, with possible advancement as opportunities become available.
