This weekend is Big Band day at Chattanooga Market, featuring all day sets from Chattanooga’s own Sweet Georgia Sound.  Put on your dancin’ shoes because we’re putting out the dance floor and looking forward to having some fun!  It’s not too late to get local seasonal produce.  Start making your holiday gift list while at Chattanooga Market, giving Local is Better! ALSO, In honor of Veteran’s Day, we’ll have a “To Serve and Protect” Expo: Featuring local Army, Air Force, Chattanooga Police Department, Chattanooga Fire Department, Meth Task Force, City of Chattanooga Drivers Education Program, and more—all part of the City of Chattanooga Department of Education, Arts & Culture’s ongoing 11.11.11. Veterans Day recognition of those who serve our community in uniform—including both the Police Department and Fire Department—along with safety and educational resources for our youth including Drivers Education, Meth Task Force, military recruitment, and the CPD/CFD Explorers program. Looking for a way to give back to the community?  Come visit the folks at the “Engage” booth to connect you with the a fulfilling volunteer position in our community.
