Join the naturalists and educators from Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center to learn more about the wildlife and plants in your own back yard! Meet their Animal Ambassadors: opossums, birds of prey and other species with permanent injuries that can’t be released back into the wild while visiting with their Forest Kindergarten and Forest School teachers to learn about the natural world. Hands-on activities for children of all ages!

Reflection Riding Arboretum & Nature Center is an environmental learning hub that reconnects Chattanoogans with nature. Filling an important need for outdoor experience in our technology-driven world, the Center envisions a healthier, more creative city whose residents become stewards of their natural surroundings.

It’s an American tradition…summertime Bar-B-Que, cold beer and live music. And it’s all happening at Chattanooga Market where several local pit-masters will be competing at our 11th Annual Beast Feast® BBQ Contest.

Whether it’s slathered or rubbed & doused in slopping sauce; spicy or mild; chicken, pork or beef; there’s a flavor for everyone. People’s Choice and Judge’s Favorite will determine which local BBQ expert takes home bragging rights.

Each pit-master will offer $2 BBQ bites for sale all day long or market-goers can purchase a full plate of their favorite for an additional charge. It’s a great way to sample the best of Chattanooga’s BBQ while enjoying shopping and entertainment at the Chattanooga Market.

A summer tradition, we’re scooping up some of Chattanooga’s best ice cream around. Ice cream lovers won’t want to miss this cool event (totally revamped)—there’s no better way to beat the heat on a summer day!

NEW! This year’s event will benefit Siskin Children’s Institute and the Chattanooga Habitat for Humanity.

Join us at SipTN Chattanooga as we showcase Tennessee wine at its finest. Taste through over 200 wines produced right here in Tennessee, utilizing some of the freshest fruit in the South.  The festival is planned to be a day of fun, stroll around, shop with artisans and vendors, enjoy delicious food and sip wine and hard cider all from local sources. Even the proceeds from the event stay local, benefitting Tennessee Agriculture and Small Businesses.

Originally schedule for March 28th, the event is now set for Saturday, June 20th!!

We’ve got you covered for Father’s Day at the Chattanooga Market. Let Dad relax and enjoy some local blues music and sample some local craft brews to boot. The whole family will enjoy lunch from one of our eateries or food trucks (did someone say bacon cheeseburger?!?) We’ll have fresh cuts of meat, farm cheeses, produce…all the makings for a home cooked dinner. Don’t forget a unique gift for dad too from one of our local artists!

Celebrating the 4th of July a bit early, blueberries are the firecracker of the day…enjoy blueberries in just about everything at Chattanooga Market.

Patrons can enter in one of our blueberry pie-eating contests (noon & 1pm), featuring fresh baked pies from Simply Southern Bakery prepared with local blueberries. Win a pie to take home! Sign up at the Market Information Desk on Sunday a 1/2 hr before each contest.

Here’s a PEACHY event….The peach festival inspires our more than 150 Chattanooga Market vendors to be creative and incorporate peach flavors, smells and peach themes into their offerings. Folks can enjoy treats such as fresh peach salsa, peach jams & jellies, peach infused vinegar, peach pastries, peach cobbler, peach candles, peach lotions and even peaches & cream soda!

We are loving our berries this summer! What could be better than blackberry jam and live music on a hot summer Sunday?

There’s no better way to celebrate your favorite summertime fruit. Join us for a bloody mary sampling event sponsored by Titos Vodka! Spicy, tangy or non alcoholic, there’s plenty of options to wet your whistle. Buy a $10 ticket to sample and vote on your favorite Top Tomato!

Join us for a live cooking competition between some of Chattanooga’s best Chefs!

The FiveStar Food Fight starts when the chefs arrive early, just before the Market opens, taking time to strategically set up their cooking stations equipped with their own knives, cooking supplies…and their best game. They will shop that day at the Market for the fresh ingredients they will need to complete their main dish.

We’ll provide the Chefs with fresh Springer Mountain Farms chicken cuts and a few pantry items—but nothing else.

From about 12:00 till 2:00pm market-goers will watch the chefs demonstrate their culinary skills using FiveStar Ranges and presenting their dishes to our panel of judges.

It’s an exciting food event for everyone. See how shopping for local foods can easily, and affordably, be turned into something yummy and amazing!

We’re celebrating over 500 farmers, food artisans, crafters and artists who join us throughout the season for our weekly public markets. Take the time to meet a few of them this week and enjoy our area’s impressive supply of local farm fresh foods.

Our annual Lodge Cast Iron Cook-off features our city’s most prominent and rising chefs. It’s a chance to watch live as they create culinary delights for our panel of judges, using fresh ingredients right from the Chattanooga Market.

Arriving in the morning and armed with Lodge cast iron cookware, serving dishes, and little more; the Market provides each chef with a pantry of basic items (salt, sugar, flour, etc.), maybe a mystery ingredient or two, and a modest budget so that they may shop the Market for the remaining ingredients they need to prepare their meal.

Market patrons watch as the chefs shop, prepare and present a meal that is healthy and fresh, while learning a thing or two to try at home.

You know who you are—you love to sing, put on a show, and maybe you’ve been dreaming of being on stage—at Chattanooga Market. It’s the biggest karaoke opportunity—with an audience of thousands—you’ve had!

Karaoke with us 12pm – 2pm. Free live musical performance follows at 2:30pm.

Chattanooga Market will become a platform for street performers of all kinds: musicians, dance acts, jugglers, mime, puppeteers, magicians, artists – you name it. 21th Annual CultureFest – Come experience the rich cultural diversity of Chattanooga through arts, food, dance, and live music and a special parade of nations.

Enjoy a multicultural fashion show, dance contest and an exhibition of culturally-themed art. Local, ethnic organizations will be on hand displaying cultural artwork, offering food samples & cooking demos along with other global customs. We’ll have plenty of activities for the entire family – Enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of our cultural diversity right here in Chattanooga!

Activities for all ages: origami, yoga, dance instruction, henna hand painting, face painting, chopstick lessons, tea tasting, passport game, calligraphy, bocce and international board games. Schedule of activities and performances coming soon!

Scenic City Wings promises to be a little spicy, a little messy, but a whole lot of fun! Patrons can sample the unique tastes of Chattanooga’s best wings from area restaurants in this blazing annual competition and cast their vote for bragging rights to the Scenic City’s Best Wings of 2019. Look out, these folks take their wings super serious so make sure you sample them all…they’re all unique.

Each $10 ticket will get you two sample wings from each of our wing contestants, and you vote on your fav! There will be 2 winners – popular vote and judge’s choice. And it’s all for a good cause, all ticket sales will directly benefit the Chattanooga Area Food Bank. Now that’s something you can sink your teeth into! Ticket sales begin at 10AM, September 15th.

Chattanooga’s oldest and largest Oktoberfest celebration, our 2-day festival draws crowds locally and regionally each year. Come to enjoy the sights, smells, and sounds of the German traditions and bring your family for a day of entertainment, shopping, and a chicken dance or too!

The festival includes an array of German traditions: brats and other German culinary foods, a biergarten featuring over 99 local and season craft brews, and Oompah Bands. Don’t miss the Mr. & Ms. Chattanooga Oktoberfest® Contest at the front stage Saturday evening at 6:30pm.

A family-friendly event, Chattanooga Oktoberfest® has become an annual tradition for many. German attire highly recommended!
