at Chattanooga Market Sunday, May 16th

For Immediate Release – This Sunday, May 16th from 11am-4pm, Chattanooga Market will be “all things strawberry”. Its a celebration of local agriculture and what usually marks the beginning of fresh produce season. This week, patrons will find strawberries fresh picked Sunday morning by some well-known farms such as Melon Patch Farms and Watsonia Farms, both out of north Georgia.

Strawberry foods including Daylilie’s jams/jellies and fresh strawberry salsas, Miller’s Strawberry Lemonade and there’s a berry-blend granola from Noke’s Granola…Simply Southern Bakery will have strawberry breads and baked goods. Shoppers will find creatively themed arts and crafts too, with a strawberry twist.

And for folks just now venturing out, the food trucks are back for the season—for an outdoor lunch on the patio. Live music is being scheduled, fans are asked to check out for further details. Live Music for this Sunday: Jennifer Daniels at 12:30 and Maria Jordani at 2pm.

Two more markets are open during the weekends: Chattanooga River Market continues on the Tennessee Aquarium Plaza Saturdays from 10am-5pm and Collegedale Market is at the Commons on Swinyar Road in Collegedale from 10am-2pm on Sundays.
