For Immediate Release – For many dads, a visit to Chattanooga Market is a Father’s Day tradition. Whether it’s live music, spending quality time with the family, enjoying a Sunday Funday crafted beer, Chattanooga Market offers up an easy way to celebrate.
On Sunday, June 20th, visitors will be in for a real treat. Live on the Lodge Cast Iron Sizzle Stage will be local favorite blues artist Rick Rushing, at 12:30pm. Rick is a native of Cincinnati and learned the blues down South. He comes from a musical heritage—most notably Blues/Jazz Legend Jimmy Rushing vocalist and musician for Count Basie’s Big Band Orchestra. Rick is a prolific songwriter and full-time musician who performs his original music locally and regionally with his blues band, Rick Rushing & the Blues Strangers. He is a board member for the Folk School of Chattanooga (FSC) after recently serving a three year term as Board Chair for the FSC. Rick also maintains a private music studio where he teaches acoustic and electric guitar, ukelele, and banjo to students of all ages.
